Have you been glued to whatever Olympic coverage you can access?

Well, the team here at Active health has been too!

Whether it’s been watching the highest levels in our own sports, supporting existing sporting heroes, or discovering exciting new disciplines, we’re just loving watching these fantastic athletes and teams!

We caught up with a few of the team in between clients to ask them what’s been inspiring them at the Paris 2024 event…

Aimee said: I’m looking forward to the gymnastics!
Looking forward to watching Rhys McClenaghan from Co Down take on the pommel horse final. 💪🏼 (this was before Rhys won GOLD! Congrats Rhys!)

Lucy said: I‘ve been loving the gymnastics, the track and field and swimming. I’ve been inspired by Julien Alfred – who ran the 100m in 10:72 which was very impressive! I’m looking forward to the 200m womens’ and mens’ too. I haven’t been watching enough to catch any new sports but I have really got into the rowing which is new to me!

Sarah said: I’ve also been loving the gymnastics, it’s so exciting to witness athletes like Simone Biles and Rebecca de Andrade, who have overcome so much and channeled it into something so positive! I’m looking forward to the skateboarding and watching all the action in the velodrome and am excited to see Kayak Cross for the first time!

Claire said: It’s amazing to see so many people representing Northern Ireland, especially Daniel Wiffen and the rowers all getting gold for NI. I’ve been loving the hockey; Ireland’s men didn’t qualify for knockouts but it’s still first class! Simone Biles: GOAT! I’ve also been loving the atmosphere at the beach volleyball.

I’ve been enjoying the athletics, particularly the 400m races. I’m looking forward to the surfing finals this weekend!
