About Lucy

Lucy graduated from Edge Hill University with a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy. Alongside her clinical work, she leads Active Health Pilates and teaches mat Pilates, reformer Pilates and barre.

She works with people experiencing all sorts of muskulo-skeletal injuries including; lower back pain, lower-limb injuries and shoulder injuries, and particularly enjoys helping runners and team sports players return to their activities. Her experience includes working with people involved in running, hockey, cricket, horse riding, football and golf to name a few.

Based on strong principles of Sports Therapy, Lucy builds rehabilitation plans around your goals. That might mean returning to a sport, feeling more confident with movement, or being able to lift your child comfortably. Her aim is to help patients progress beyond pain relief, address the root cause of injuries and build the strength and confidence to do the things that matter to them.

She uses KINVENT strength testing, live gait analysis and exercise rehabilitation, including reformer Pilates where appropriate. Her interests also include exercise for older adults, falls prevention and the role of Pilates in rehabilitation after injury.
