About Susan
Susan provides a friendly, professional first point of contact, helping patients feel welcome and supported from the moment they get in touch or arrive at the clinic. She answers telephone and email enquiries, manages appointment bookings and changes, checks patients in and helps with the practical arrangements around their care.
She brings extensive customer service, retail management and administrative experience to Active Health. Before joining the team, Susan spent 17 years at the Disney Store as an Assistant Manager, developing skills in organisation, problem-solving, team support and day-to-day business operations. She also holds a BA (Hons) in Business.
Susan helps new patients understand the booking process, explains appointment arrangements and directs enquiries to the appropriate service or clinician. She takes time to reassure anyone who feels nervous or unsure about their first visit, explain what to expect and make sure their concerns reach the right member of the team.
She particularly enjoys building positive relationships with patients and making each visit easier to navigate. Alongside reception duties, she processes payments, helps with patient account queries and insurer administration, keeps patient information up to date and supports the physiotherapy team with day-to-day administration. Clinical and treatment questions are passed to the appropriate clinician.

Qualifications and training
BA (Hons) Business. Additional training in general administration, first aid and fire safety.
Outside work
Susan enjoys reading, particularly books by Freida McFadden, Colleen Hoover and Shari Lapena. She also loves going to the theatre with her daughter, who has caught the theatre bug too. Their greyhound keeps them active with walks, although they are firmly fine-weather walkers!
