David Saligari

David hails from sunny Perth in Western Australia where he completed his Physiotherapy degree at Curtin University in 2001 before working in a busy private practice. In 2004 he met Rachel when they studied for their Master of Manual Therapy degree at the University of Western Australia. He followed her back to Northern Ireland and they founded Active Health in 2006, opening their first clinic in Holywood in 2007.

David has developed an excellent reputation in the treatment of Headaches and Spinal Pain working closely with Consultants to treat those patients that have been unable to find relief with other treatments. He has trained internationally in the treatment of Headaches and is the only Level 3 Watson Headache® Certified Practitioner in the UK and Ireland. David and Rachel now have 3 boys that keep him busy at home and when he gets the chance he likes to hit the golf course.

She also sent me exercises to do for my feet, and recommended I see a specialist. She went far beyond my expectations. This was my third time to call upon Active Health’s excellent services over some 10 years and once again I have nothing but praise for all of the staff, whose professionalism is evident in every aspect of the practice. Rachel’s authoritative assessment and Lucy’s skilful treatment with targeted exercises gave great confidence as well as producing significant results, helping me to live more comfortably with arthritis in the neck. If all physiotherapy was like this, waiting lists would be a thing of the past! I would like to have awarded you 4.9 stars had that been possible, my only tiny quibble being that the consulting/treatment rooms have fairly thin walls and so are maybe not as private as they might be. However, I would have no hesitation in recommending Active Health to others (and indeed already have on several occasions) so thank you again.
