On the 22nd January 2007, Active Health Solutions opened its doors with David Saligari and Rachel McIlduff (now Saligari after he put a ring on it!) at the helm. It was, what they would call these days, a Soft Opening. There was no fanfare or huge advertising budget. There was a party with some bubbles, friends and families and even a local GP or two who came to check us out. But in essence we opened the doors and just hoped that people would come in. And thankfully they did. In fact, something we are proud of is that our very first client who walked through the doors is still a client today.

From the outset, our mission was to help people get back to, or maintain an Active, Healthy Lifestyle. To be able to keep doing all the things that they loved, whether that was playing golf, walking the dogs, or just being able to sit comfortably to read the paper. Twelve years on this has not changed. We know that, yes, people want to get rid of pain and we can help do that but most of all they want to be able to live their life without restrictions, or relying on painkillers to get through the day. They want to be able to get down on the floor and play with their kids or grandkids or run Park Run every week.

Being able to help people achieve this is what I love about my job and about the team we now have at Active Health. We have grown to include a brilliant team of Health Professionals including Physios, Podiatrists, Chiropodists, Pilates Instructors, Massage Therapists and a Personal Trainer who all share our passion for helping people Activate Their Health. Not to mention our fantastic Admin Team Lead by our Practice Manager, Andrea.

So to celebrate all of this we are launching our New Website which is aimed at giving people lots of information about how they can start their journey to Activate their Health. We have completely FREE Reports to Download on the most common conditions we see here at the clinic. These are full of tips that you can start doing now to help yourself.

We have introduced a FREE Discovery Session, as we know that some people are unsure if Physiotherapy is going to work for them or they might have had a bad experience elsewhere. This 100% Free consultation with one of our Physios allows you to see if we can help you and give you some advice on things that you can start doing now to help reduce your pain and get back to what you love to do.

So watch this space as we have BIG plans this year to continue to grow and serve our fabulous clients in any way we can.

We’ll be raising another glass of bubbles (forget Dry January!) to another Happy & Healthy 12 years!
