Suzanne grew up in Bangor, Co. Down and was educated at Glenlola CollegiateSchool where she was Head Girl. On completion of her A Levels Suzanne undertook a honours degree in Podiatry at Ulster University. Since graduation Suzanne has gained experience in all aspects of podiatry within the private sector, with a special interest in lower limb biomechanics and musculoskeletal podiatry. Suzanne is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists (SCP).
Suzanne recently spoke on her experience as a podiatrist at Stormont and is an active member of the SCP NI Branch, who are responsible for organising CPD events and supporting the 450 podiatrists working within Northern Ireland. In her spare time Suzanne provides sports massage to Crusaders F.C. and enjoys volunteering with Special Olympics Ireland and Ulster Rugby. In the summer of 2015 Suzanne attended the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles.
Aside from her work in Active Health Solutions, Suzanne is Lead podiatrist at The Gait Lodge, Galgorm Castle, Ballymena.
Suzanne attended a function running assessment and gait re-training workshop at Pure Sports Medicine, Canary Wharf in June 2016, along with other coaches and health professionals from the running industry.
Suzanne recently represented the SCP Northern Ireland Branch at the Delegates Assembly in Edinburgh. She presented a successful motion on behalf of podiatrists in Northern Ireland in the need for using cost effective social media campaigns to promote podiatry as a whole to the general public. The motion also received full support when presented at the SCP AGM in London in July 2017.
