University of Bath, training under GB Olympic Coaches and alongside Olympic swimmers. David made the Northern Ireland Commonwealth Games Panel in 2006, however missing out on selection for the Games prompted a move to Triathlon. David excelled as a Triathlete, winning Irish Triathlon and Duathlon Championships in 2009. He went on to compete internationally at Elite level for two years before returning to swimming in 2012 to win Championship Titles in 50m, 100m and 200m butterfly. He still ‘toes the line’ occasionally in open water swimming and running events for fun and as a reminder of how hard racing is.
