Richard is a postgraduate musculoskeletal manipulative physiotherapist. He completed his Masters in 2011 through Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia. Richard has a keen interest in the management of both acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. He has a broad range of experience in sports injury management. Since graduating he has spent a period of time working in New Zealand and Perth Western Australia within Musculoskeletal and orthopaedic settings. Following the completion of his masters he was involved in the clinical supervision of postgraduate physiotherapists through Curtin University. On returning to Northern Ireland and joining the team at Active Health solutions, he has continued his academic interests through the University of Ulster teaching Undergraduate physiotherapists.

 

During his Masters he completed research in chronic spinal based conditions and applying a screening based model clinically.

 

Clinically he has worked with multiple sports teams affiliated to the clinics he has worked with. Outside of the practice he has a keen interest in wind surfing and rugby.
